Deceit

"Deceit" was an environment I created for a university assignment, inspired by underground mines and caves, for which I received a first-class grade. You can see high-quality versions of the renders on my ArtStation

Behind The Process

This environment was created using assets sourced from Epic's Quixel library, with hero assets like the storage house, elevator, and more modeled and textured myself. The environment is divided into two main sections: the mine and the glow worm cave. The mine features a storage facility with a loading dock, a mineshaft, and various storage items scattered around to fill the scene and reduce emptiness. Lighting in the mine is provided by wall and ceiling lamps placed throughout the cave. In the glow worm section, illumination comes from the Arachnocampa luminosa, a species of fungus found in real glow worm caves. To replicate this effect, I modeled simple cylindrical objects, applied an emissive material, and positioned a light source within clusters of them to create the cave's unique lighting.
